Child Care Search
Hiring the right child care provider is one of the most important decisions for parents since this is the person who will be helping to raise your child and shape his or her personality. However, finding a good nanny can be a daunting and overwhelming process and it is often difficult to put full faith in a nanny's references and in outside agencies. Gold Parent Coaching works with you to find the perfect match for your family by examining and anticipating your family's unique child care needs. We use our backgrounds in therapy and coaching to ensure the highest level of screening for the candidates.
Our renowned Child Care Search has been cited in countless media outlets and even in The New York Times. There is nothing like it in the world as it provides the most complete nanny-family assessment and matching available.
We offer the following Child Care Search Packages:
Gold Parent Coaching Full Service Nanny Search:
Our Full Service Nanny Search package consists of seven layers of screenings and interviews:
- FAMILY NEEDS ASSESMENT: We meet with your family to assess your needs. Our screening process identifies key bio-psycho-social aspects of your family's requirements and personalities which are critical to finding the right child care provider.
- APPLICANT SCREENING: We find applicants who fit this profile. We typically screen a minimum of 10-20 applicants for each familys position.
- REFERENCE CHECKS: We thoroughly check the applicants references from their previous employers. We work only with applicants who possess at least one working reference as a nanny. We interview these references to assess the applicants job performance and personality and we run projected scenarios to understand if this candidate would fit the needs of the selected family.
- INTERVIEWS: We move candidates who receive positive references on to Level Four. This is an intense interview focusing on the needs assessment of your family. We take the 360 degree emotional and physical requirements of the job and assess the candidate by gathering information, role-playing, and running through scenarios for your family. At the end of Level Four the candidate has a complete understanding of the family's needs and the jobs requirements.
- FAMILY PRESENTATIONS: Upon successful completion of the Level Four Interview, Gold Parent Coaching will arrange for an in-person Level Five Family Presentation involving the family, the child care provider and, if desired, a Coach. Of the many candidates screened, only 2-5 will ultimately make it to the Family Presentations. Prior to this meeting, your family will get a Candidate Outline on each candidate, a verbal briefing from the Coach and a list of meetings for the selected day. Since the job requirements have already been reviewed by the candidate and the Coach, the presentation is a casual and relaxed meeting, allowing your family the unique ability to focus solely on the interpersonal match between yourselves and the nanny candidate.
- TRIALS: Gold Parent Coaching mandates that all nannies and families have formal trials. This allows the family to see the nanny "in action." There is no better way for a family to assess the nanny candidate than during these trials when nannies, parents and children can interact. We will coordinate and schedule all trials for the families.
- OFFER NEGOTIATIONS & PRESENTATION: Gold Parent Coaching will do all of the offer negotations on behalf of the family. This allows for less problems and clearer communication during the process. Gold Parent Coaching will mediate between both sides until a happy and complete agreement is made. When the family and nanny begin together, everyone is clear and content regarding the position and the expectations needed. This allows for less problems in the future and a more productive and professional relationship.
- TRAINING & TRAINSITIION: Gold Parent Coaching will offer additional training and transitioning programs so your family will receive the added benefit of taking our matching program to an exceptional level. We will work with you, the parents, to visualize your ideal employee and how that caregiver will enhance the lives of each family member emotionally and behaviorally. We will create a family folio with essential information such as: daily outlines, weekly schedules, behavioral logs, and all relevant family data so that the selected nanny becomes immediately integrated into the familys routines. As a result of our training and transition programs caregivers and families alike feel safe, secure and focused - ready to handle the needs of this new position and family dynamic.
This extensive screening process supports parents and saves them countless hours by focusing them on the few selected applicants who best suit their family's needs and social profile. We then work with the parents to train the candidate on exactly how to best care for the child and run the household. This package can be done on an hourly basis or for a flat fee.
Parent Driven Nanny Search:
For this package, the parents get to use Gold Parent Coaching services in any way they see fit. We begin together with the Family Needs Assessment and then are brought in on an hourly basis to consult during the process in the areas of greatest concern to the parents. For example, Gold Parent Coaching can help the parents evaluate the references or assess the interview with the potential nanny.
Nanny Search To-Go:
For $675, Gold Parent Coaching will conduct the Family Needs Assessment and the parents will be given: physical description of their job, emotional overview of which personality would be a best match to their family, customized GPC match-based reference questions, personalized GPC match-based interview questions, Nanny/Family Work Agreement and Nanny Training Manual.
Nanny 101 Starter Package:
For $350, Gold Parent Coaching will conduct the Family Needs Assessment. Then GPC and the parents will create a clear plan together of job outline, what kind of nanny they need, specific questions to ask, where to find the nanny and how to create the nanny working agreement.
Our child care search is an extremely in-depth process; therefore we cannot take on all of our search requests. During our complimentary consultation we will evaluate your particular needs and select the areas where we believe we can make the greatest contribution.

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tammy and the team at Gold Parent Coaching. I have worked with many agencies over the years, paying more and not getting half of the amazing service they provide. Tammy and her team met with me for an hour assessing all of my needs. They worked with us arranging every single detail with the interviews and trials and even negotiated the salary, job detail and agreement with the nanny on our behalf. I have never seen a service like this. It is the ultimate white glove service for custom nanny-family matching! They think of everything from what we need, what the nanny needs, what the children need and put it all together for you. They found us exactly what we wanted and over a year later everything is still perfect! It was the greatest resource for a busy parent."
"Gold Parent Coaching helped us find the perfect nanny for our daughter (at the time she was 3 months old). Finding childcare was one of the most stressful parts of my maternity leave. Tammy took the time to meet with us and understand our needs. She was able to screen out candidates for us and presented us with only the nannies that met our specific requirements. She did all the time consuming work for us and we ended up with the greatest nanny! Our nanny is still with us 2 and 1/2 years later and we have had such a great experience since her first day. Tammy is so caring and really understands your personal needs and takes the time to find you exactly what you need for your individual situation."
"Tammy was able to come in, screen nannies for us and provide training to ensure that both my husband and I felt comfortable leaving Erin behind as we headed off to the city for work. She helped us with the most important hire - her services are invaluable."
