How Gold Nanny Group Differs
From a Traditional Nanny Agency
To help our clients properly understand how Gold Nanny Group differs from a traditional nanny agency, we have put together the following guide.
| Traditional Nanny Agency | ||
|---|---|---|
|
FEES |
Flat Fee Rate – Fee includes entire service and is based on your search criteria OR Hourly Rate – $150 per hour for as long as your particular search takes (Can range between $3,500 - $7,500) |
Typically a $250 registration fee and additional placement fees that range from 12% - 20% of the hired nanny’s annual salary. (For example: for an $800/week salaried nanny, this would equate to $4,900-$8,300 in placement fees.) |
|
STAFF |
1. An Account Representative to handle operations of the search 2. A Coach to fully assess the emotional dynamics of the family/nanny match 3. An Executive Recruiter to analyze the employee/employer match With these 3 team members, we are able to uniquely handle every aspect of the family's needs. There is no other child care company who handles searches in this manner. |

FAMILY |
During a 90 minute session with the family, GNG completes an in-depth Family Needs Assessment to identify the key aspects of the family's requirements and personalities which give us a clear picture of what kind of nanny will best suit the family. Some of our assessments are done in our clients’ homes, allowing greater insight into their unique child care needs. |
Intake form/call to cover the basics of the job: hours, days, ages of children, salary, etc. |
|
SOURCING |
GNG begins a customized search for each family after the Family Needs Assessment to recruit potential candidates based on the family’s unique requirements. Using our diverse search tools, we are able to provide a broad presentation of candidates who match the family’s position requirements. |
Uses candidates from current database. |
|
MATCHING |
"4 Phase CandidateSelection Process" Phase 1 - Screening: Recruiter & coach recruit and screen a large pool of candidates based upon the family’s assessment review. This typically includes screening of 50 – 75 nannies. Phase 2 - Specific Reference Review: Candidates who pass through Phase 1 are subject to very thorough reference reviews in which the references are used to assess how the nanny may fare in the selected home. The team will use questions that have been specifically designed to assess the candidate's job performance and personality to understand if this candidate will fit the needs of the selected family. Phase 3 - Interviews with GNG Team: Only those candidates who receive positive references are moved on to this phase. Candidates are rigorously interviewed by the coach & recruiter through multiple phone interviews and face-to-face meetings in which the candidates' past work history and current abilities are assessed. The intense interviews focus on the match between the candidate and the family's needs assessment. Phase 4 - Job Presentation: Candidates who pass all levels are then presented the family's specific job. The coach & recruiter role-play with the candidates, run scenarios and explain each detail of the family's needs assuring the nanny can perform the job appropriately. Each search starts with roughly 50 - 75 nannies which are then narrowed down to the 4-10 candidates who are most properly suited to the family's individual requirements. |
A search is performed of the existing database of nannies and matched solely upon the family's application. These "matched" nannies are then sent out on interviews. |
|
PRE-INTERVIEW |
A coaching session with the family and a GNG coach is held prior to the first interview to guide and educate parents on good interview techniques, appropriate expectations, qualities to look for and questions unique to “the world of nannies” to ask. |
Not offered. |
|
INTERVIEW |
GNG’s account representative schedules and coordinates all interviews with the nanny candidates so the family only has to open their door. Prior to these in-person interviews, families will receive a Candidate Profile on each candidate and a schedule of upcoming interviews. Since the job requirements have already been reviewed by the recruiter and coach with the nanny candidate, the interview is a casual and relaxed meeting, allowing the family the unique ability to focus its attention solely on the "interpersonal match." |
Not offered - the family schedules their own interviews with the selected nannies. |
|
POST-INTERVIEW/ |
A session is held with the family and a GNG coach to assess each of the interviews and the pros and cons of each candidate. Coaching for the upcoming trials begins and guidance is given to enhance the value of the trials allowing the parents greater ability to assess the match. |
Not offered. |
|
TRIAL |
GNG mandates that all families are able to participate in trials with the final selected candidates. We have found that interviews alone are a very poor assessment of the candidates. The only way a family can truly decipher if the nanny is right for them is to have her in their home doing the job. This allows insight for both nanny and family to ensure a mutual selection process. GNG schedules and coordinates the family’s top nanny candidates for all in-home trials. |

|
NANNY |
GNG remains in communication with the nanny candidates throughout the whole process to ensure a proper match is made for all constituents. GNG’s coach trains and guides the nanny candidates on the family’s developmental, cognitive and social aspects allowing for the greatest likelihood of success. |
Not offered. |
|
POST- |
A session is held with the family and a GNG coach to further assess the nanny candidates after the trial to assist in deciding which candidate is the perfect match. |
Not offered. |
|
JOB OFFER/ |
A GNG coach will help the family put together a competitive job offer to present to their chosen nanny candidate. GNG will work with both parties to come to a mutually agreed upon wage/benefit package. GNG will handle all uncomfortable and tough job issues that may arise during the search. Because of our flat fee, GNG is entirely disinterested in the value of the ultimate offer. |
Not offered - success fee is based on nanny’s salary, offering a potential conflict of interest in any wage negotiations. |
|
TRANSITION |
Innovative Nanny/Family Handbook is given to the family to use as they prepare for the new nanny to transition into their home. GNG will work with the family upon hiring their nanny in the final wrap up session to complete the Handbook and offer further assistance in training and transition. As a result of our communication throughout the process and our training and transition program, nanny and families alike feel safe, secure and focused on creating the best foundation possible for a successful, long-lasting relationship. |

"Gold Nanny Group took all the stress out of our nanny search. Tammy and her team sat in my home and helped us define the perfect nanny for our family, from the hours she worked, to the personality that meshed best with ours, to the pay range for our nanny. Two weeks later she was at our door. It was amazing!
