Customized Nanny Search Process
Below is a brief overview of the steps in our Customized Nanny Search Process:
Sign On Paperwork
Family is sent a "Welcome" email which includes all the paperwork we need completed in order to move forward with the search. The sign on paperwork includes completing the Child Care/Nanny Information Form and returning the signed contract.
Family Needs Assessment Session
The Family Needs Assessment is a 90 minute session with the entire Gold Nanny Group team. The team will work through the Child Care/Nanny Information Form with the family to make sure that we have a clear picture of what of nanny will best suit the family.
"Exclusive 4 Phase Candidate Selection Process"
Phase I: Screening - The GNG team will recruit and screen applicants who fit the family's exact profile established during the Family Needs Assessment. This typically includes screening between 50 - 75 nannies.
Phase II: Specific Reference Review - The GNG team will throughly check the references of the applicants' who made it through Phase I successfully. The team will use questions that have been specifically designed to assess the applicant's job performance and personality to understand if this candidate fits the needs of the selected family.
Phase III: Interviews with GNG Team - Only those candidates who receive positive references are moved on to this phase. These interviews include phone calls and face-to-face meetings with several members of our GNG team to discuss the candidates' past work history, current abilities and their fit for the family. The intense interviews focus on the match between the candidate and the Needs Assessment of the family. We take the 360 degree emotional, physical and social requirements of the job and assess the candidate through role-playing and running of possible scenarios that may occur within the family.
Phase IV: Job Presentation - The candidates that are deemed the best of the best will be given the family's information. The GNG team will talk through each of the points of the job with these candidates to ensure they are interested and capable of handling the nanny position. From these discussions, the GNG team will narrow the nanny candidates down further to the final top candidates to present to the family for interviews.
Family Interviews
GNG will coordinate all in-person family interviews. Of the many candidates screened, only 4 - 10 will ultimately make it to the family interviews. Prior to these interviews, the family will receive a Candidate Profile on each candidate and a schedule of upcoming interviews.
Since the job requirements have already been reviewed by the candidate several times with the GNG team, the interview is a casual and relaxed meeting, allowing the family the unique ability to focus solely on the "interpersonal match" between the family and the nanny candidate.
In-Home Trials
GNG will arrange for a trial period with the nanny candidates after the family has picked its top choice or choices from the interviews.
Job Offer / Wage Negotiations
GNG will assist the family in putting together a competitve job offer to present to their chosen nanny candidate. GNG will work with both parties to come to a mutually agreed upon wage/benefit package.
Training and Transitioning
The family will be given our innovative Family/Nanny Handbook to use in the transitioning of the new nanny into their household. The process will be wrapped up with a final session with the GNG team to assist with completing the Family/Nanny Handbook and with any additional guidance or training that is needed.
Coaching Calls
Throughout the nanny search process, the GNG team will conduct coaching session with the family to ensure complete understanding of the steps involved. Coaching will also be given around how to best handle the interactions with the candidates thus making this process low stress for the family.
As a result of our communication throughout the process and our training and transition program, nanny and families alike feel safe, secure and focused creating the best foundation possible for a successful, long-lasting relationship.
